Gosh.. Is it week 15 already? They weren't kidding when they said the time flies by! My little bean has grow a lot since I first found out I was pregnant. It has developed so quickly, and the things it will be able to do this week compared to week 11 are crazy!
If I could hold my baby in one hand and a baseball in the other this
week, you'd see that my baby is noticeably larger but much lighter
than the baseball. From the crown of it's head to the bottom of it's little
bum, Bean's about 9 to 11 cm (3.6 to 4.5 in) long, and weighs
close to 50 g (1.75 oz).
Little Bean can suck it's thumb now, I might be able to see that on an ultrasound... If I can get another one soon!
My baby is covered with fine hair called lanugo, which will disappear
before (or soon after) it's born. The hair on it's head is beginning to
grow and Beans eyebrows are filling in.
Bean's eyes are continuing to move toward the front of it's face and his outer ears are still developing.
At this stage of Bean's development, my baby's blood vessels are visible
beneath it's thin, transparent skin and it's bones are quickly hardening.
In fact, if an X-ray was taken of it's body now, you would be able to see
his bones... Not that I'd want an X-ray lol... An ultrasound is just fine lol.
If I do have an ultrasound, this week or next I might be able to find out if I am carrying my prince or my little princess! That is if little Bean wants to cooperate!
I can't wait until I can finally feel my little Bean wriggling and kicking! I know it wont be as nice when it's foot is in my ribcage or it's head is on my spine LOL. I just want some reassurance it's still in there and everything is okay lol.
And here's little me! LOL I hope my baby will have curly hair like me <3
Have an awesome Sunday everyone! I know I will! Going to spend the evening with my Mum, Kyle, my Stepdad and my sister :) Enjoy your family today!
