So today is the last day of week 12, and tomorrow we are in week 13 already! I am already just one week away from the second trimester! It is so crazy. Sometimes I feel nervous or anxious because nothing is really happening.. I can't feel anything, my belly is just slowly getting bigger.
Believe it or not, my baby’s body has doubled in length since week 7 and is as big as a large peach! Last week it was just a little plum!
From the top of it's head to the bottom of it's little bum, it's about 65 to
78 mm (2.6 to 3.1 in) long and weighs about 13 to 20 g (0.5 to 0.7 oz).
My baby's head is still about half the length of it's little body, but its growth will begin to slow down as the rest of it's body begins to grow.
If I could see my baby now I would be able to determine whether it is a boy or a girl! Still about 4-5 weeks until that ultrasound!
There are still 190 days until my due date! Still have a long way to go, and that is just fine with me. I want to enjoy every minute of this pregnancy.
Here is a gorgeous little photo I saw on Facebook, it made me choke up as I tried to read it aloud.
Hope you all are having a beautiful weekend! I will try and write something new soon! Just trying to come up with great ideas!

Week 12!
So tomorrow is Week 12! I know I still have a longggg way to go, but I thought it would be fun to do a weekly post about were I am in my pregnancy and what the baby looks like and how big! I'm crazy I know, but this is my first pregnancy, first baby. I'm excited and want to record everything! Crazy Mummy over here.
So week 12! So far my morning sickness has completely vanished. Poof! Gone! I am actually feeling amazing. I'm not showing yet obviously, there is still a little bit of bloating which makes me look bigger. I'm not bothered though, I am absolutely thrilled my body will be going through this change. My waist is getting a little thicker, my hips are getting wider.
And to be honest I have never eaten so healthy in my life! Breakfast every morning, tons of fruit and veggies. Right now I have a plate full of local organic apples, peppers, sugar snap peas, and strawberries...
So right now my baby is about the size of a plum, about 2.5 inches long and only weighs about 12-14g. So tiny!
It's little fingers and toes are no longer webbed and are separated. Little bones are starting to form throughout its skeletal system.
Most of my baby's organs are fully formed now and have started to function. It's little sex organs are starting to show distinct characteristics of its sex. Only Five weeks until I can find out the sex! I can't wait.

Things That Should Never Be Said or Done Infront of Children
I work at a large retail store and everyday I hear or see something that hurts my heart. A mommy or daddy saying things to their little ones that should never be said. What you say to children or say around them can have a huge negative impact on their little hearts.
Little ones look to us 'Big People' for guidance, and to teach them how to speak to other people. They look to us for comfort and security.
Here are some things that should be a good reminder to stop yourself from saying or doing any of these things.
#1. Don't Ever Say You Hate Someone or Something
Definition: Intense hostility and aversion usually deriving from fear, anger or sense of injury
Hate is a very strong word. If you say 'hate' often and have children you should really try and stop. You wouldn't want your child going to school saying she hates this little girl, she hates her teacher, she hates her dinner!
Sure she can dislike something, and have her own opinion. But try teaching her new ways of expressing her emotions. Instead of hate try dislike.
#2. Never Talk Badly About Your Body or Your Appearance
This one is very important to me and I feel it is essential that we teach our children that bodies come in all shapes and sizes, and that everybody's body is beautiful.
We should never talk badly about our bodies. If your child hears you saying 'Oh my belly is too fat. My hair is to frizzy. My legs are too jiggly!' Your children will grow up thinking they are not good enough. That they are not beautiful. Our children need to grow up feeling confident, and feel good about themselves.
Another big thing is NEVER EVER talk badly about another persons body or appearance in front of your children. We don't want them to see us being negative and judgmental towards others. They will grow up to be negative and rude to people.
#3. Watch Your Temper!
One of the saddest things I see at work is how quickly a parents' patience runs out and their tempers flare and suddenly they are yelling and cursing at their children. Calling their children rude names, telling them they are stupid. Their little hearts get hurt and they cry. The crying then makes the parents even more angry! Well what do you expect?
When your child misbehaves or does something you don't appreciate, calmly and firmly explain to them what they are doing wrong and show them how they can fix it. Show them that you need to apologize for misbehaving. If they have made a big mess, help them clean it up. If they hurt another child have them apologize and explain to them why it is not nice to hurt someone. If they wander off at the supermarket explain to them that it makes you very worried and someone could steal them from you.
Make shopping a fun time. Teach your little ones about different foods and where they come from. Ask them what their favourite food is and why. Have them help you count out the apples.
Yelling and swearing at your children is just mean. And it teaches them that yelling and swearing is acceptable behaviour when dealing with things they don't like. They need to be taught that being calm and respectful is how you deal with things that aren't always in our favor. You can't always get what you want, and overreacting and freaking out is not how you deal with it.
It's okay to lose your temper once in a while. It is okay to get angry. But how you deal with it afterwards is important. Apologize, calm down.
I am sure I could add a lot more, and I probably will in the future.
Hope you all have a beautiful weekend filled with love and happiness.

My First Ultrasound!
Well yesterday was the day of my very first ultrasound, and to be completely honest I was so nervous! I have been worried that something was wrong.
I thought I was only about 5-6 weeks pregnant and the technician said that I might not be able to see the baby yet... But as soon as she put the probe on my belly and she was actually surprised! She said 'Oh no, you are a lot farther along than 6 weeks! More like 10-11 weeks!'
I was shocked! But I am so incredibly happy! Apparently my little baby was moving and wriggling so much it was hard for her to get the measurements!
After she got her measurements she told me that I was 11 weeks and 1 day pregnant! How they can figure that out just from the ultrasound I will never know.
Once she was finished with her part, the technician went to the waiting room and brought Kyle in so we can see the baby together. She turned the monitor around, stuck the probe back onto my belly and what I saw was the most amazing thing ever! My little baby was in there! My heart swelled and I had tears falling from my eyes. The baby had finally stopped rolling and wriggling all over, just long enough for us to see it. Then it started up with its kicking and it rolled around and kept it's back to us <3
My wriggling little bean, I am so happy I burst into tears when we left the clinic. My mom had thought something was wrong, but I was just so happy.
Got the photos here! Finally Blogger listened to me! Sorry they're a little blurry, my little bean doesn't stop wriggling!
When my little bean starts getting bigger and my belly gets bigger I want to show my belly off lol! I also have a very good post coming soon, look forward to it on Friday! The topic is things that should never be said in front of a child.

Welcome!
Hi there! My name is Sarah and I am a new mommy to be! I cannot wait for my little bundle of joy. I am going to be a young mom, and I know how difficult it can be for us. We hear it all the time. Oh, you're how old? Wow you're so young. A baby is a lot of work don't you know? You're life will never be the same!
I know I am, I know babies are a lot of work. I can't wait for my life to change this way!
I wanted to write this blog for all the young moms out there. This blog will be packed with yummy kid friendly recipes and exciting activities that can be done on little to no budget!
I will also have updates on my own pregnancy, with baby bump photos, ultrasound photos.
I have my first ultrasound tomorrow so photos will be up! And I hope you all join me on my journey through my first pregnancy!
Just because I'm young doesn't mean I wont be the most amazing mom I can be. My life is all about this little peanut inside of me right now, and will be for a very long time.
I have some posts set up which I think will be very helpful, so stay posted mommies and daddies!
